About

My name is Faith and I am here to share my journey with you. I am a Registered Nurse, with a devotion to the profession of nursing and empathetic care for all people. Prior to becoming a nurse, I worked as a nursing assistant for nearly five years, where I met some amazing coworkers, patients and their families. With my experience in healthcare, I have an abundance of beautiful stories and lessons learned from the people I have encountered.

Writing is therapy for me, and it is through my writing that I have been able to become more self-aware as well as heal and grow. I can’t tell you what this blog will look like or that it will be all sunshine and daisies. What I can tell you is that you will find authenticity, courage, and everything in between here. It is my goal to live boldly and without fear, and that is why I am working so hard to have my voice heard.

My journey of faith is closely mingled with my past, and I am still working on that aspect of my life daily. I believe in God and am a Christian in the process of joining the Roman Catholic Church. My faith is very important to me, now more than ever before, and I know that will be a topic that I write about in the future as well. With the hope that God gives, I have been able to see light at the end of some very dark tunnels, and His strength has supported me when I had nothing left.

Like many of you, my past is a minefield. I am where I am now, because my will to survive and the love of God was stronger than the forces around me that tried to bring me down. I believe that life is comprised of constantly moving, growing, and changing, and it is my goal to continue to move forward, growing stronger with each day. Contrary to what I once thought, the pain of my past is not meant to stay hidden within me but is meant to be contemplated on and shared. In sharing my stories and the pain of my past, I will be able to learn from them and heal as I move on, but also may serve to help others who may be struggling with similar things as well. If my words help even one person, it is worth any risk that sharing them brings.

I want to thank you ahead of time for reading my words, following me on my journey, and supporting this new and exciting endeavor.

All my love,

Faith
